March 18, 2010 Lisa, a second grader, is one of the few children in her class that attend church in Bartow county. There are around 18,000 children in preschool, elementary, and high school in our county. Many of them will never go to church. They will never know the true reason for Christmas or Easter, or hear someone pray. 13 Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there. Matthew 19:13–15 Jesus loved children and ordered His disciples to let the little children come to Him. Pray that the parents of little children will, not only allow the little children to come to Jesus, but that they will take seriously their role to be godly examples for their children. Ask God to cause parents everywhere to teach the Bible at home to their children. Ask God to lead parents to take their children to church. Pray that Christian children and their parents will invite their unchurched friends to church and will also share Jesus Christ with them.
